The exhibition season at the Valchařská Gallery kicks off with the work of contemporary artist Petra Damašková (b. 1993), a graduate of the Creative Photography Studio at the University of Ostrava. The artist explores highly personal and intimate themes within her immediate surroundings. The series Krajina rovina (Plain Landscape), which she will present, is a sensitive and slightly melancholic record of her own memories, her own journey not only through the external landscape but also through an imaginary inner landscape.
The exhibition will be opened by Petra Damašková, curator Lukáš Bártl, and Robert Helbich. Opening on January 30, 2018, at 6 p.m.; the exhibition will run from January 31, 2018, to June 1, 2018.
