Lenka Glisníková (1990), a student in the Creative Photography Studio at the University of Ostrava, focuses primarily on current and often highly intimate events in her immediate surroundings. In the series *Reconstruction of the Remembered*, she embarked for the first time on a more significant exploration of her own past and her own photographic archive, using a formal approach that highlights not only the imperfection of human memory but also the imperfection of the photographic medium’s memory. Nevertheless, even these works do not lack an obvious private dimension and thus lie on the border between often depersonalized conceptual series and intimate confessions.
February 24, 2016, at 6 p.m. – opening of Lenka Glisníková’s photography exhibition *Reconstruction of the Remembered*, combined with the launch of the exhibition catalog. The exhibition will be opened by curator Lukáš Bártl and Robert Helbich in the presence of the artist.
