The winner of Galerie Valchařská’s 2019 Open Call is Matěj Skalický, a recent graduate of the Advertising Photography studio at Tomas Bata University in Zlín. His photographs, exhibitions, and printed zines blend conceptual thinking with a deeply personal narrative. In Brno, the artist will present the exhibition Three Plus One, created specifically for this occasion and exploring the themes of time, transmission, and the collection of information.
The exhibition opening will take place on June 11, 2019, at 6:00 p.m. at Tiskárna Helbich and will be combined with a catalog launch. The exhibition will be opened by Robert Helbich, Matěj Skalický, and curator Lukáš Bártl. The exhibition will run from June 12, 2019, to September 20, 2019.
